OUR TRADE FINANCE TEAM DELIVERS THE DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONAL BACKBONE FOR TRADE FINANCE AND LOAN TRANSACTIONS, ENSURING ACCURATE, TIMELY SUPPORT FOR A WIDE RANGE OF CORPORATE BANKING ACTIVITIES. WE'RE LOOKING FOR MANAGER WITH PROVEN, HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN TRADE FINANCE OPERATIONS AND LOAN OPERATIONS WHO ENJOYS OWNING PROCESSES, SOLVING ISSUES QUICKLY, AND WORKING CLOSELY WITH INTERNAL AND GLOBAL STAKEHOLDERS.
EXPERIENCE IN SYNDICATED LOAN OPERATIONS AND/OR WORKING IN A FACILITY AGENT CAPACITY IS A STRONG ADVANTAGE. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE BRINGS STRONG OPERATIONAL EXPERTISE, CLEAR AND CONFIDENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS, AND THE ABILITY TO MANAGE DAILY PRIORITIES WHILE COORDINATING WITH MULTIPLE DEPARTMENTS AND OVERSEAS OFFICES. Job Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end trade operations processing, including system input, verification, and authorization checks in relevant banking platforms.
- Conduct thorough trade document checking to ensure compliance with internal procedures and transaction requirements.
- Overseas the processing related to common trade finance products such as Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, and trade settlements (as applicable).
- Manage syndicated loan operational activities, including transaction processing, drawdowns, repayments, cash movements, and related reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain internal and external operational reports, ensuring data accuracy and timely submission.
- Review with day-to-day operational tasks such as reconciliations, tracking, follow-ups, and documentation filing.
- Participate in team projects and process improvement initiatives (e.g., workflow enhancements, documentation updates, control checks).
- Support adherence to operational risk controls, compliance requirements, and audit-ready documentation standards.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 7 years' experience in the banking industry, with strong exposure to Trade Finance and/or Lending operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business / Finance or related disciplines.
- Certified Documentary Credit Specialist is preferred and will be an advantage.
- Strong English skills (written and spoken) are required for documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting, tracking, analysis, and presentations.
- A collaborative team player who works well across functions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate clearly and professionally.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and controls.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Excellent time management, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
