We are seeking a highly motivated AML & Sanctions professional to join our AML Sanctions team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the Bank's compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies relating to anti-money laundering and financial sanctions.
Your new role
- Perform AML and sanctions screening reviews on client onboarding, transactions, and periodic reviews.
- Analyse and investigate alerts related to sanctions, PEPs, adverse media, and AML risks, and escalate where necessary.
- Provide advisory support to business units on sanctions and AML-related matters to facilitate compliant transactions.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring and surveillance of customer activities and high-risk accounts.
- Participate in regulatory or internal projects related to AML and sanctions enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with HKMA, SFC, and relevant regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies.
- Assist in handling regulatory enquiries, audits, and reporting requirements.
- Support ad hoc compliance investigations and initiatives as assigned.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Require 4-6+ years of AML Sanctions experience in Banking.
- Professional certifications such as CAMS, CGSS, or ECF-AML/CPT are an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
